5th event for the Africa Off-Road racing

It was the 5th event for the Africa Off-Road racing that was held at Sannieshof North-West on Saturday the 29th of May.

Sannieshof is in the platteland, meaning long, flat and fast sections with some bumpy sections where the grass was cut alongside a small river with some bends and sharp corners. This is a dry area causing clouds of dust for the drivers on the day.

Team Mate Jodé Mostert signed up for the Regional (200km) as well as club (the first 150km) championship. He finished 11th overall and 5th in the OR1 class. “I just couldn’t get past the quad on lap 3 and 4 with the dust”

Newby Peet Hoffman made his debut on the day and Finished 35th overall and 10th In OR1. He learned a lot in his first race with these dusty conditions. “I got a puncture in the front wheel on the last lap and had to nurse the bike to the finish”

The next event will be held at Lichtenburg on the 26th of June where the team will look at achieving better results.
