If you’re an early adopter and proud of it and in the market for a premium motoring experience in 2022, and you don’t want to consider the line-up of tried-and-tested German and Japanese models on sale in SA, Chery has an SUV for you.
Launching in South Africa in a few days, the all-new Tiggo 8 Pro is said to bring a new world of luxury, refinement and driving quality to the premium segment. For now, here’s what Chery‘s executives have to say about the highly anticipated new model.
Loaded with more luxury than you’ll ever expect
“It is very fitting that we kick off 2022 with the introduction of the Tiggo 8 Pro. The Tiggo 4 Pro did everything we asked of it and introduced the Chery brand to South Africa and showcased our design, durability and general accessibility. In contrast, the Tiggo 8 Pro will show South Africa why we are a technology and design leader in China and globally,” says Tony Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Chery South Africa.
As the range’s flagship, the Tiggo 8 Pro will be packed to the brim with luxury, safety features and especially technology. Among these are active and passive protection systems, including an ‘omnidirectional’ airbag (we’ll find out more about this) arrangement, standard across the Tiggo 8 Pro range. All Tiggo 8 Pro models will also have an Around View camera system, stability control (ESP), traction control, and a digital tyre pressure monitoring system.
Welcoming legacy customers with QQ3 and Tiggo
The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro lands in South Africa shortly after Chery started its nationwide ‘Legacy Customer’ campaign. This initiative opens the doors of all new Chery dealers to any existing Chery customer who may have bought a previous-generation vehicle like the QQ3 hatchback or the previous-gen Tiggo from the former independent importers.
“We are welcoming each and every Chery owner to visit us and make contact. Not only will we be able to service their vehicles and honour any existing warranties, but we will show them the quantum leap in design, technology and safety that has since made Chery a global force and China’s largest vehicle exporter,” Liu concludes.
