Nissan's new single cab Navara is ready to rock and roll in SA

Nissan has officially launched its Navara single cab bakkie in South Africa this week boasting a comprehensive range of models to choose from to cater to all sorts of business needs.

According to the company’s marketing director, Stefan Haasbroek, the single cab model comes with an impressive list of best-in-class features that make it the perfect partner to get the job done right. He also notes that the new Navara offers high levels of safety and security, including driver and passenger airbags as standard, as well as ABS and Electronic Brake-force Distribution.

Nissan launched the Navara double cab range in June this year and it has been well received since introduction when compared to sales of the outgoing Navara. The single cab Navara is looking to follow in the footsteps of the double cab’s success while also filling the void that’s been left by the now discontinued Nissan NP300 Hardbody.

Haasbroek expounds that the new Navara is renowned for its rugged, redefined looks, robust capabilities, reliability and versatility, making it one of the most loved models across the Nissan line-up. He believes that the Navara Single Cab will continue on that legacy, offering a vehicle that is proven Africa tough – built locally, for local businesses, both in South and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The new Navara single cab fitted with a 2.5-litre petrol engine (XE grade) has a maximum power output of 118kW and 233Nm of torque. The 2.5-litre diesel engine that’s also available in the model line-up comes in two levels of output. The high output engine delivers 140kW of power and 450Nm torque. The mid-output (XE and SE Grades) produces 120kw of power and 403Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful engines in this workhorse class.

The Navara single cab boasts a class-topping load capacity of up to 1144kg thanks to a reinforced body structure and heavy-duty suspension. All models also come with a warranty of six-years or 150 000km and a service plan of six-years or 90 000km, whichever occurs first.

Here’s the latest pricing for the 2021 Nissan Navara single cab in South Africa:
